ScienceDaily (Nov. 18, 2010) — Studies in recent years have claimed multiple health benefits of pomegranate juice, including that it is a good source of antioxidants and lowers both cholesterol and blood pressure, especially in diabetic and hypertensive patients. A preliminary study now suggests that it can ward off a number of complications in kidney disease patients on dialysis, including the high morbidity rate due to infections and cardiovascular events, according to a paper being presented at the American Society of Nephrology's 43rd Annual Meeting and Scientific Exposition in Denver, CO.

I've been drinking pom juice for a few months now. I gotta say, I feel much better psychically than what I did before; even though my diet was good. A lot of my friends can't drink it because it upsets their stomach. Anyway - this stuff is amazing, and taste great.

If you have the chance, buy Pom Wonderful Pomegranate Juice with Blueberry juice added in. It's even better than the regular kind.

On a related note, I've found myself totally enamored by pomegranate-infused Craisins. I hate regular raisins with a passion, but Craisins are just so gee-darn tasty.
