Dog with name tag 'works' drive-through window

advertisement

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Customers at one Gulf coast gas station might be surprised at who responds to the counter when they pull up to the drive-through window: The store owner's dog. Dozens of times each day, Cody the chocolate Labradaor retriever will pop up on two paws behind the counter at a BP gas station and convenience store in Clearwater. He even has a BP logo shirt and a name tag. Customers grin and kids squeal with joy in response.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Labs are extremely intelligent animals anxious to please and they love people.

I saw this on the evening news the other night. But I agree, I would have liked a picture from the article.

Either way it was a cute story. I am not a fan of clothing animals, but the dog wears a company shirt. =)

What no pants? Well I guess as long as he doesn't come out from behind the counter.

That is cool. I better not let my dog see that, or she will want to come and help me at work. Might not work so well in my classroom. LOL Hmmmm... I may need to think about this a little. I would have a very quiet class... Hmmmmmm... LOL

I think we should all have a "Take Our Dogs To Work Day". I can see my wonderful little brainless baby, tearing up and down the halls at the water company!

What fun!

Cool idea, but I have a class full of teenagers that are mostly scared of big dogs, and my baby is a German Shepherd. LOL

She is a sweet baby though. She will turn 2 just before Christmas.

I love my Lulu, a rat terrier, but she isn't the kind of dog you take to work... She's pretty rowdy, sometimes.

I bet the kids would LOVE your baby!

They met her over the summer, and it didn't go the best. LOL All of the sudden, the desks were over on the other side of the room. A lot of my students only associate the bigger dogs with dog fighting. Quite distasteful and disastrous.

Some of the other students adore her and keep asking for her to come back and spend the day. I actually have volunteers that will walk her. LOL

She is quiet and very well mannered too.

I sure will. She was funny on her walk this morning. She kept picking up deer tracks. She wants to chase them so badly. LOL
