WASHINGTON, July 25 — A presidential panel on military and veterans health care released a report Wednesday concluding that the system was insufficient for the demands of two modern wars and called for improvements, including far-reaching changes in the way the government determines the disability status and benefits of injured soldiers and veterans.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I am real glad this is getting attention now the system got real bad especially during the Clinton budget cut for anything national defense years. The system has been grinding to a halt, and the budget increases that Bush has been providing just haven't been enough.

This is beyond ridiculous--it's criminal. They don't even mention the National Guard and Reserves--who get no help after two years. Unfortunately, PTSD doesn't recognize that time limit on healthcare. Every time Bush talks about supporting the troops, I want to get violent.

Certainly understandable Chum. Reminds me of Agent Orange, depleted uranium and Gulf War syndrome.
